SpringHill Suites by Marriott Norfolk Virginia Beach

Overall pretty decent hotel. There are a few things that could have been better. First, the room. Room seemed to have been remodeled recently (the hotel is currently under some renovations). Comfortable bed, pillows a little soft for my liking, but not bad by any means. TV is a bit small and dated for having had a recent remodel. The big issue for me was the shower. Would take literally 5+ min to warm up, and warm was about as much as you would get. Breakfast gets mixed reviews. In general, typical hotel breakfasts at the majority of hotels are mediocre. Some days the breakfast exceeded my expectations. Eggs actually had some texture and flavor and the other breakfast items were pretty good too. However, some days, the eggs were heavily soaked in butter. Location is decent, however, not much in the immediate area for restaurants. Overall, would stay again.

We stayed at SpringHill for two weeks. The hotel could definitely use some upgrades and attention, especially with the noticeably warm hallways and pool area. We did have an ant problem on several occasions. I noticed a few single ants here and there but multiple ants quickly developed in areas of the room on two occasions from a piece of food that was left on the floor and a dirty shirt that was in one of our dirty laundry bags. The maintenance guy came to take care of them the first time. The house keeping could be more detailed as well—seemed like that only changed the towels and barely remade the bed when they did come. I greatly appreciated the breakfast bar that was managed so well by Ms. Antoinette. It’s hard to come by many hotels that still offer a free, hot breakfast. Each day, I could count on her to be there to greet us in the morning with great music playing. She ensured that all items breakfast items were well stocked and kept the area clean. Breakfast was something to look forward to. I wish that there could’ve been an afternoon snack offered as well. Overall, our stay was decent. The staff during the morning and afternoon shifts were great, as well. They took the time to get to know their guests and had great customer service.

Our stay was wonderful! Room was clean bed was comfortable and my favorite thing about this hotel were the staff. Excellent customer service all around, they’ll go above and beyond for you. I had the pleasure of meeting Antonette who works in the breakfast area she is the reason I’ll be booking at this hotel again hands down the best customer service Ive ever had. The breakfast area was clean well stocked and the food was delicious thank you. We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the front desk staff Tiffany and Carmen. They were a delight to converse with and made checking in and out a breeze. Thank you all.

We enjoyed two nights at this hotel recently, and I wish to comment on the staff. The front desk and dining staff were outstanding. They were attentive and responsive and friendly, especially Antionette and GloDem. The hotel was quite nice, however it did show its age a bit. Certainly would stay again.

Place was really nice and felt clean there was a dennys within walking distance and plenty of parking in the back near the containers. They had a really nice fountain in the lobby and the breakfast was good. Overall it was a great experience.

Clean, but the service is slow! I always stay at Marriott when I can. This SpringHill suites is nice, seems newer, and smells good. The room was bigger than most, had a half sized fridge with a real freezer, small microwave, and a sink. Bed was comfy, sheets looked clean, and the bathroom was clean. Will stay here again when passing through Virginia.

I would rate this hotel 3.5 of 5. Room : No issue, we were placed for disabled but no issue it’s fine, Bed is comfy but I got a mosquito bite but never see anything on the bed Idk. I would say it’s quite old with fixtures like wall I guess but as long as you have a good place to sleep to should be fine. Food: not much choices just omelette steak then cereals, sausage. French toast was not soft enough, I’m expecting bacon but it’s okay. Staff: the team has been friendly and feels accommodating no issue with the reception staff. So if you are just looking for a place to stay and not looking for a fancy type then this will be your choice. I had a good stay though for a night!

We had our family reunion here and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. The customer service is incredible. Everyone was very kind and helpful, especially the banquet, breakfast and housekeeping staff. I was pleasantly surprised by the banquet food. It's not incredible. It was decent and banquet food is often bad. I didn't visit the pool but saw lots of families taking advantage. Overall really nice rooms, excellent customer service and free breakfast. I wish they had daily housekeeping.
